January 1, 2026 – A Different Kind of January

January is loud.

Everywhere we look, we’re told to shrink, fix, discipline, cleanse, and “start over.”And if you’ve ever struggled with disordered eating, you know how heavy this month can feel.

So this January, we’re opting out.

No resolutions about weight. No “earning” food. No measuring our worth in numbers.

My word for 2026 is balance—not balanced meals, but balanced living.Balance means saying no to overwork.Balance means saying yes to rest, boundaries, connection, and care.Balance means remembering that health is not a size, and healing is not linear.

If you want something gentler this year, you’re welcome here.

Below are 31 weight-neutral ways to care for your mental and physical well-being—without focusing on body size. Take what helps. Leave what doesn’t. You’re not behind. You never were.

And yes—this is a big, loving f*&k you to diet culture!
